There is widespread apathy to the Great Commission among the Christians of nowadays. The first reason why no one is to blame for such indifference and cold attitude to the global missions is that the emphasis on the pulpit in our church services suffered a great shift globally in the last two to three decades; the gospel of ease, comfort, convenience, prophesying and pursuing prosperity without purpose. This lopsided and imbalanced emphasis took its toll on the global missions’ work. Young men and women are no longer enthusiastic about cross-cultural missions, because they could attend church services 52 Sundays in a year and never hear the Great Commission mandate mentioned for once by the leaders who occupy the pulpit.
